Sora Hikyoname | Senrigan (Lit Translation: Clairvoyance)
type | Ninjutsu | Chakra Sensing
element | - - -
rank | B
description | This technique, while useful, is simply a much more refined variation of the Chakra Sensing Technique. Forming a single handseal, Sora will seek out chakra as with the standard chakra sensing technique. In doing so, he will be able to tell whether or not somebody is lying or if anyone is trapped in a genutsu. Using the Senrigan, Sora is able to determine an individuals basic chakra element and how much chakra they have. This technique is capable of sensing the chakra from 3 Kilometers in diameter.
cons | Unfortunately while using this technique, Sora must form a specific handseal and maintain it, thus eliminating his use of genjutsu. While able to find out the main affinity of a shinobi, he is unable to identify any other affinity they might possess. Those possessing Elemental based Kekkai Genkai are safe from Sora's ability to see their elemental nature, their bloodline effectively masking it.
name | Gaining Total Control - Seiatsu
type | Genjutsu
element | - - -
rank | B
description | A fairly powerful genjutsu utilized by Sora Hikyo of Otogakure. After forming the needed handseals, the genjutsu will take place on the opponent. This genjutsu is used to interfere with the opponents perception of time. To the victim, time has slowed down considerably, to the point where they can see the wings of a hummingbird flapping. This, of course, is all an illusion as everything is moving in standard time. This has an adverse affect on the victim, making them incapable of properly judging when an attack is coming, thus disabling their ability to defend or evade.
cons | Unfortunately like all genjutsu, this can be broken by those with a high enough skill or by a foreign chakra influencing them. Also while this has an effect on both the sense of hearing and sight, this does nothing to the other three sense. This would allow a well trained shinobi to properly gauge where everything is truly at.
name | Heavenly Illusion: Afterimage Body Flicker - Tengen: Zanzou Shunshin
type | Genjutsu | Ninjutsu
element | - - -
rank | C
description | Forming a single handseal, Sora will move with high speeds similar to that of a Shunshin. Due to the speed of the Shunshin technique, Sora will often move faster than the natural eye can catch him. However in his place, he will leave a genjutsu afterimage of himself. This works to confuse the enemy, concealing his true whereabouts. This technique can be used multiple times in succession, Sora able to create a total of four afterimages per use.
cons | This technique places a moderate amount of strain on the legs, Sora moving at a slower pace than usual after using it multiple times. None of the afterimages move after it's use, thus revealing them to be a genjutsu to the more intelligent shinobi.
name | Phosphorescent Light Technique - Shiranui no Jutsu
type | Genjutsu
element | - - -
rank | A
description | Forming the needed handseals, Sora will convert his chakra into a sweet smelling, cherry blossom scent. This is a mid ranged technique, the scent only being smell-able from twenty feet out of Sora's body. As the opponent smells the scent, they will be placed underneath the genjutsu. In the opponents mind, they will be enveloped by Shiranui's white flames. In doing so, the brain will become tricked into activating the pain receptors along the body. In doing so, this causes extensive pain, often crippling most men due to it. Like all genjutsu, this doesn't actually harm the opponent, although this one causes a physical reaction in the activation of pain receptors.
cons | As a mid-ranged technique, Sora cannot simply hide while using this genjutsu, thus leaving him open to attack. Simply holding one's breath and not inhaling the scent of the technique will stop the genjutsu from being cast. As with his Enjaku technique, this technique uses a good twenty percent of his chakra. This technique can only be used on three people at once, any more than that being fatal to Sora himself.
name | Heavenly Illusion: False Accusations - Tengen: Enzai
type | Genjutsu
element | - - -
rank | B
description | A technique used to sow confusion during squad based battles. Only useful while he's hidden away and unable to be attacked, Sora will silently weave the needed handseals to place an opponent under the illusion. Maintaining the handseal, to the victim the enemy will look like his teammate and vice verse, their teammate taking on the role of the common enemy. This is used to sow confusion among the ranks, Sora trying to make said opponent attack whom he/she thinks is a fellow ally.
cons | While keeping the genjutsu active, Sora must remain in place and keep the final handseal active. This makes Sora incredibly susceptible to attacks, any movement more major than his own breathing disrupting the genjutsu.
name | Death of the Buddha - Enjaku
type | Genjutsu
element | - - -
rank | A
description | An incredibly powerful genjutsu utilized by Sora Hikyo of Otogakure. As a visual based genjutsu, this effects anyone who has seen the gestures associated with it. As a visual based genjutsu, to activate it's effects Sora will raise a hand and point at his opponent. It is this gesture that activates the genjutsu, beginning as soon as he points at them. This will paralyze all movement, keeping the opponent in it's place. While this is happening, several large claymore type blades will pierce the coffin. This causes incredible phantom pain, the target having believed they have been stabbed multiple times by the blades. This genjutsu will repeat multiple times in a seemingly fast pace, eventually breaking down the target mentally and physically.
cons | As a visual based genjutsu, this technique is only effective if they see it. As such, if they break it the first time the genjutsu will become useless, as even looking down will nullify the effects of Enjaku. This technique can only be used 4 times per day, taking more than a quarter of his chakra away with each use. Aside from these two weaknesses, standard genjutsu weaknesses apply.
name | Ravages of War - Heika
type | Genjutsu
element | - - -
rank | B
description | One of Sora's more, sinister genjutsu. Forming the needed handseals, the user will seemingly have several claymore type blades emerge from the ground. These swords will "emerge" from underneath the opponent, seemingly slashing them in multiple places. Like many of Sora's genjutsu, this illusion causes the vivid sensation of pain without truly harming them.
cons | Due to the conditions of the genjutsu, the target must be standing on solid ground. Even if they are standing on a log, rock or in the tree tops the genjutsu will become ineffective. Standard genjutsu weaknesses apply.
name | Heavenly Illusion: Total Eclipsing Mist - Tengen: Kaiki Kiri
type | Genjutsu
element | - - -
rank | D
description | A simple genjutsu often used as an escape measure. Forming the needed handseals, the opponent will fall under a simple genjutsu in which they'll see nothing but a heavy shroud of mist. This mist looks incredibly similar to Kirigakure's signature technique.
cons | As such a simple technique, it is easily broken out by even the lowest ranking Chuunins/Genin with talents in genjutsu.
name | Heavenly Illusion: Rose Garden - Tengen: Bara Niwa
type | Genjutsu
element | - - -
rank | D
description | An overly simple genjutsu sued by Sora Hikyo of Otogakure. Forming a single handseal, several rose petals will surround the target. The target will them envision themselves in a rose garden, filled with sweet scents and a calming breeze. This illusion is strictly supplementary, Sora casting it on people who need to be relaxed or have trouble sleeping.
cons | Any shinobi can break this illusion if they desire to.
