→ appearance | Ryota does not have the demeanor of a criminal about him; let alone a killer. He looks very approachable, and combined with his personality, this assumption holds true. But enough about his general appearance. Let's get to his basic appearance breakdown.
- eyes || Ryota's eyes are very gentle, and comfortable. They emit an almost calming aura. Many think the abnormal rings on his sclera grant him some sort of special ability (along the lines of presenting calming, non-threatening aura) but this is untrue. His eyes are a simple abnormality. The iris is nonexistent, but he does have a black pupil. The rings are a moderate gray, and serve an aesthetic purpose. They break up the sclera, so that his entire eye isn't white; save for the pupil. This prevents his eyes from looking odd. (More so than they already are.)
- hair || Ah, Ryota's hair. His most prized feature. His long, flowing, blonde hair reaches down to his mid-lower back. And oh is it soft. Unbelievably soft. Ryota will have no problem telling you it's soft either. He takes care of his hair often; often tending to it 2-3 times a day. But as a result, it does shine in the sunlight, and glimmer in the moonlight.
- build || Ryota is tall. 6'2 to be exact. But he only weighs 163lbs. So he's not exactly an intimidating figure. He's not lanky by any means though. Ryota is lean, with most of his muscle residing in his core, and upper legs. This benefits him well in combat (as would having muscle anywhere...) in miscellaneous actions such as leaping, stamina, sprinting, and kicking.

- outfit || Ryota's outfit is quite simple. On his head,he occasionally wears a black beanie with two golden rings encircling the entire base opening of the beanie. When he feels good, and expressive, he does not wear the beanie. But when he's sick, feeling gloomy, or angry, he puts the beanie on. He has a small piercing in his left ear. It is just a standard stud. Around his neck, he wears a necklace that hugs his neck comfortably; but is made of a frail material just in case his opponent decides to try and utilize it in a battle situation. It is a unique necklace his mother made for him, and is made up of a fragile plant material, and small beads.
He wears a black vest with a white short sleeved t-shirt underneath it. The vest has numerous pockets, many of which are empty. His wears semi-baggy ninja pants, that come down to his mid-calf. From his mid-calf all the way down to the middle of his foot is a tough, white wrapping, which helps prevent injuries such as ankle sprains, ankle breaks, and torn ligaments in the mid-calf. He wears standard ninja sandals as well.
Contrary to a majority of his fellow Akatsuki members, he tends not to wear flowing outfits, such as kimonos, or cloaks. He dresses as he does for two reasons: 1. So he doesn't stand out when roaming. 2. For convenience, and ease of movement.

→ strengths |
- unique release - Through years of practice with his father, Ryota finally had mastered the Jokiton element. Also known as steam, this technique is performed when the user combines the fire, and water elements. To effectively utilize the steam techniques, one must have excellent chakra control. Without it the ratios will be thrown off, and the user will either just produce fire, or warm water. So when used correctly, Jokiton's abilities range from warming soup, to incinerating an opponent from within.
- one-handed, no-handed seals - Also a hand-me-down skill from his father, are his one-handed seals. While most ninja require two hands and can only perform at moderate speeds, Ryota can perform B-Ranked and above jutsus with one hand, and C-Ranked and below with none at all. This allows for quick action in battle, and much less thinking. There's one huge plus to one-no handed seals; Ryota can perform two jutsus at the same time when using one-handed seals. (One jutsu with the left, one with the right. Chakra usage is of course, doubled.) And when performing a no-handed jutsu, he can perform three at the same time. (All jutsu, when performed with 3 at a time, must be C-Ranked and below. No exceptions.) This gives him extreme versatility in battle, and flexible to many battle situations.
- beauty - If he does say so himself, Ryota is a beautiful person. He does use this to his advantage whenever he can. Whether or not the situation is critical or not. (Which in most cases, is not.) He tends to his vanity any time he gets the chance too. Whether he spends 3 hours in the morning getting himself ready, or whether he's just combing his hair while roaming around with his akatsuki partner. Weather it's simple manipulation for his physical desires, or crucial for an important mission, he does his best to catch people's eye.
- intelligence - Most successful ninja in life are smart. Actually, all of history's greatest ninja were intelligent. To what degree each individual ninja was smart..that's up in the air. But generally speaking, a smart ninja is a strong ninja. Ryota holds this philosophy in high esteem. Whenever an opportunity to gather knowledge presents itself, he takes advantage of it. Even if he feels he won't utilize said information, he absorbs it and stores it.
→ weaknesses |
- vain - Vain may be an understatement. Ryota is a nice guy, sure. But he knows he's beautiful. And he'll let other people know he's beautiful. He'll inquire if other people think he's beautiful. Basically, he just wants others to think he's beautiful. If someone doesn't think he's beautiful? Woah. It becomes his personal goal to get them to become attracted to them. Usually he becomes attracted to them simply because they're not like the others. They don't instantaneously fall head over heels for him.
- weak genjutsu - He just simply can't perform efficient genjutsu. He may be able to perform a D-Ranked jutsu with decent skill, but anything above D is a struggle. He struggles with genjutsu defense as well. Of course, anything below a C-Rank is easy to break for him. C-Rank gets a little iffy. While B and up can really put a hole in his game plan. In all seriousness, Ryota fears genjutsu in all of it's forms. He knows genjutsu can beat him.
