→ appearance | Akanuma Satoshi is the odd man out amongst his clan for a few sole reasons. One is his snow white hair, which is abnormal for the red-haired clan of Akanuma. Another is the blood red eyes, another odd sight from an Akanuma. Over time, however, he made these things his defining traits as well as his wolf-like canines which he personally loved to use as a scare tactic in means of his youthful days.
Satoshi, however, is also defined by the black as night tattoos that spread out across his back. The tattoos are intricate and seem to detail into what actually looks like a hydra, if not a hydra-like creature. What also details on his body, in terms of tattoos, are the kanji on his right arm which spell out 'A cycle of hatred is never broken.'
To end the description about Satoshi would have to land on his scar, hidden under the bandaging around his neck. Underneath is a deep cut scar all around his neck. It has points where it looks like whatever caused it shifted its placement every now and then.

When he is wandering, Satoshi wears a long read robe with a white ribbon tied around his waist and neck and wears a white cloak along with his bamboo hat. Sometimes he can be seen wearing a cloak that is similar to the Yondaime Hokage's own outfit. It is white with red flames along the bottom and on the sleeves with the symbol meaning fire shadow on his right arm. With that, he wears a blue flak jacket instead of a green one. Other times, he wears a light blue robe. Along the sleeves of the cloak, the color is dark blue with symbols along it. The sleeves and the back sort of extended with different symbols along it and at the end of it there is a bundle of yellow string tied together. Around his waist is a dark blue ribbon and within the ribbon is piece of cloth that is red with gold trim and that extends almost hitting the ground.
On most occasions he wears his own specialized outfit, he himself being the creator. A finely tailored cloak that is pure black wraps around his jounin vest of the village Kirigakure (which he still wears for memory sake), along with the normal dark blue ninja pants. Black sandals protect his feet, also covered in socks by this point. However, within the cloak's confines is two sword hilts. These are his swords, forged by his own family as a sign of his coming of age. Around his right arm is the Kirigakure headband, scratched like a missing-nin would do, while around his neck is a fang necklace. The fangs are white, while the very string is black as night.
As the leader of Akatsuki, he has customized his cloak. The cloak is similar to the one Uchiha Madara wears, hood and all. But his cloak's hood has a special design on the back of it. The design is the symbol of the Akanuma clan, which is a blood red colored hawk. Inside the cloak is places for him to hide kunai and other slips of his tricky nature. While he wears the cloak, he is typically wearing his old jounin vest as well as the clothing that fit with it. It is also this outfit that he dons a mask. The mask is black as night with ornate carvings on it in a light shade of blue.

The white hair and the blood red eyes define Satoshi the most. It is the last his victims see before they die. The hair, white as snow, sticks out in all times of day and is a signature thing to him to this day. The blood red eyes, void of emotions, stare with the dead look Satoshi has had for years.
Satoshi, however, is also defined by the black as night tattoos that spread out across his back. Due to recent events, Satoshi has developed insomina and suffers heavy from it. Black lines under his eyes and an aged face come because of his insomnia.

►► Advanced Swordsman; Satoshi is trained in the standard ANBU-style kenjutsu and use of the Katana and Ninjato. When faced with a swordsmen of the mist, his blade means nothing, but against other it is a good close combat tool along with his kunai. Satoshi is rarely seen without it, much like most ANBU, but he rarely finds the need to use the blade as well. This is typicially a tool used for him beheading the missing shinobi's head off to bring back as proof of a successful kill.
►► Heightened Endurance and Stamina; He spends days out and about chasing the most dangerous criminals, staying in the shadows and on people's tails. On one mission he went a week and a half living on minimal supplies of food and water and was still able to fight when called upon. He has a greater sense of endurance and stamina as to be expected from the ANBU elite.
►► Taijutsu Specialist; Despite not always relying on it, Satoshi is a master at hand-to-hand combat to the point where he can easily disarm most minor opponents, as an ex-Hunter Nin member, he was trained and forced to fight against others, most stronger than himself and he succeeded based on his skills. He learned that to survive you must be strong. That is what Kirigakure taught him. Added with his knowledge of the human body, his hands are known as deadly weapons.
►► Ninjutsu Specialist; He wasn't one to always use a barrage of ninjutsu skills, but as he grew and was taught he developed and learned countless Kirigakure-exclusive ninjutsu from both his family, and the ANBU. He has also come to learn many more through his travels.
►► Charismatic; When the time comes for talking, Satoshi is very adept with the tongue and is able to calm the savage beast to a point. Though he is not like a Kage, he has great charisma when it comes to leading his organization.
►► Strategic; He has enough mind and intelligence to stay behind and track the most elusive and strongest shinobi who desert their village, and has enough strategic capabilities that allow him to execute difficult and complex maneuvers and ambushes to capture and kill the enemy.
►► Combat Veteran; Satoshi has a talent for violence. can look at an opponent's skin and tell if they're tired or not by the sheer sight of moisture on it. He knows countless things about combat and fighting; When he decides to enjoy a fight, man is there fireworks. He likes using her bare fists, he likes the feel of blood on his flesh, the feel of broken bone on his knuckles. This man is a true monster, fighting is their life, anything less then killing their enemy and opponent or them dying in the process is utter failure and disgraceful.

►► Genjutsu; He knows how to dispel a genjutsu, but when it comes to using it, he sucks. He can use the basics to disorient a missing ninja, but when he is placed within one, he can't tell reality from illusion when it looks similar to his surroundings. Which is why he has sought one or two Genjutsu users for the new Akatsuki
►► Anger; When angered, which takes a very specific set of circumstances that needs to be present to do this... Despite his serious outside, he holds a cold, darkness within, his serious is a sort of barrier or mask, Satoshi is cruel and sadistic where no one but himself matters. Also he becomes a rather ruthless and cold man too. He doesn't care at all for the lives of others and only cares about himself. He doesn't care about most things at all actually. Hes not friendly at all in this state, to be honest and considers most people to just be meat shields and target practice. If not that then they're just obstacles. At the same time he works for anyone who can provide something to him that's interesting and useful.
►► Duty Bound; Satoshi is a cold and heartless man. Mercy? That word means nothing to Satoshi . He is a deprived void for all human emotions when he is working. He is fully aware of his surroundings and stays serious to the bitter end. Despite this, he does gain a sense of arrogance and pride for himself, but does not take it over a mere phrase. His combat prowess is incredible, which is most likely why he is feared by many. His serious personality often makes him come off as somebody who nobody could possibly get along with. This is true. He knows he must be this way to better serve his goals.
►► Insomnia; Satoshi suffers from insomnia and this often leaves him tired and slow quite often. Were it not for Rena, this would be even more fatal to his survivability. Sometimes, he will get that sleep urge while in a fight, leaving him to ruin his own techniques.
►► Protective; Satoshi loves Rena to death and would rather see her live then die. His love for her drives him to do some very stupid things just to protect her. He has taken plenty of jutsus just to defend her, and has suffered all because he truly loves her.
►► Ill; Satoshi has been getting sicker and sicker. This is because the Akanuma blood has a rare disease. He has begun to show signs of it more and more with the coming years. At times, his sickness will kick in while hes fighting and throw him off or give enemies the openings they need to strike him down.

Satoshi is a ruthless man who cares only for himself. He is manipulative and cruel. He shows no mercy and will not give one shit about anyone's lives but his own. Everyone is a tool for him and this much is only shown to those who are but pawns to the Akatsuki. His merciless nature strides out into branching sides of him which all connect. He will easily murder an entire small village just to get what he needs. Some may even go as far as saying he is not of right mental health.
His goals are recognition and vengeance and this is what drives him. Bloodshed is just part of gaining vengeance and being recognized. He follows the ideal that to get noticed, you must forsake the good things. Yet, he does not forsake -everything-, making him a bit of a hypocrite. He is a lover of all things women deep down and when in his 'public' identity, he is a charming gentleman. He uses charisma to his advantage to turn people against one another, to add more to it.
Rena is the one person to keep him sane, if anything. She is his everything and losing her would break him into a monster unheard of before. She is his humanity and this shows in his protective nature of her. Threatening her and harming her would be an unwise move and most likely trigger Satoshi's bloodthirst to see the inflicter dead. Another thing to note is that around her, he is the him that was locked away behind a bloodthirsty murderer. He is calm, sweet, and caring. He isn't afraid to tell her when he is in pain or to let her know that he loves her more then anything in his world.
Pissing him off is fairly easy to do, depending. You can be egotistical, insult or harm Rena, betray him, and insult his clan. All of this will send him into a rage that is rarely matched. He becomes a furious monster that is unable to be stopped by anything but Rena or the goal of seeing the person dead. You could possibly stop him with a powerful technique, but good luck with that!

Satoshi fights long-range with very destructive techniques. He enjoys throwing chaos into a battlefield and uses his techniques to do such a thing. However, should one get close? He will switch into quick strikes through his fists or his blade. He prefers to keep a combatant away from him, but is not afraid to get up close in a fist fight.

Childhood to Pre-Jounin Years.
Akanuma Satoshi was born the bastard child of Akanuma Noburo and Terumii Hitomi, who would marry Noburo to protect Satoshi. However, it was early from birth that one could tell that Satoshi was an odd one out. His hair was white and his eyes were as red as the blood that spilt from Satoshi when his father brutally attacked him years later. That is for later, however. Our tale with Satoshi begins when he was but a boy. Satoshi was, at that time, six, and his mother was alone with him, snuggled with her son on the couch. The father, known for being the town drunk, was thrown inside his own house by his brother, Genkai. It was on that night, however, that the drunken father, began to abuse Hitomi. Satoshi could only watch-- and sometime receive the backlash – as his father hurt his mother.
The tale continues as Satoshi grew up. In secret, he hated his father, and even began to talk with his uncle, Genkai, about becoming strong enough to defeat his own father. Through the years to come, Genkai began to teach the young Satoshi and even took him as his own student. Hitomi and Noburo, meanwhile, would get in vicious ninjutsu battles as the years progressed. But as things got worse, Satoshi got stronger. He even became part of a genin team, lead by his uncle. Satoshi's life, however, was about to take a turn.
When Satoshi was sixteen, and a chunin by now, he had come home with a big grin. That all disappeared when he saw a trail of blood and heard fighting. With rage, adrenaline, and fear pumping through his veins, he tore through the halls to find the source of the blood. What he found drove him further to rage. His father had wounded his mother and she was dying by loss of blood. What happened that night is a blur to him, but Noburo was locked away and Hitomi was put in the hospital. It was shortly after the whirlwind of events that Genkai took Satoshi away from Kirigakure to train.
Satoshi and Genkai trained for three years constantly, to prepare Satoshi for the changing days. Satoshi, thanks to Genaki, began to specialize in Katon. Fire was his ally in his darker days, and a comforting element to him. However, his tale had just begun...and boy was his next few years going to be a ride of hell unlike any other.
Jounin to Missing-nin
In time, Satoshi returned to Kirigakure with three years of training and Satoshi jumped right back into shinobi work. The three years of training kept him hungry for mission after mission, and so he began to rack up quite the 'score' of missions. He even got his own place and moved his mother in with him, to protect her. He made a good income through missions with Genkai and soon enough, in about three to four years, became a jounin of Kirigakure. He eventually began to train his ninjutsu further when he learned he also had the capability to do Doton techniques, and in time he learned something from his mother.
He could combine Katon and Doton to make a fierce element known as Youton (Lava Release). This was due to the fact that the Terumii clan's bloodline ran in his DNA. All thanks to his mother's genes, Satoshi gained access to the powerful element of Youton.
With this news in hand, Genkai and Hitomi began to help the young man that Satoshi was shaping out to be. He quickly became used to the 'new' feel that came with Youton. He even began to work on tricks that he could execute using his jutsu knowledge and battle skills. As years went by, he became part of the fierce Hunter-nins and honed his skills even further. As his life progressed, a clock was running out for one of his family members.
Through his training, he mastered ninjutsu and taijutsu. It was rough training, but Genkai made sure he got through it. It helped him with his tasks as a Hunter-nin to have a mastery of ninjutsu. Through this training, he also learned the way of Kenjutsu. Even if he was preferable to Ninjutsu, he worked with Kenjutsu as a means to extend his reach and to deliver fatal strikes to his enemies.
Through the hunter-nins, Satoshi became a fierce warrior. His combat skills grew with each hunt they did. Some missing-nin gave Satoshi quite a fight, and some were easier then they looked. In time, Satoshi's skills shone through and he became captain of a hunter-nin squad. They always took the dangerous hunts and through them, the squad got better combat skills and new knowledge of how to work together.
It would be on his twenty-sixth birthday that he would come home from a tough hunt with the Hunter-nins and found his home a mess. He, however, did not expect to be ambushed from behind. His father had been released and had gone as far as to find Satoshi's new home. A battle began between father and son, with the son drawing his dad to an open field nearby. The elder Akanuma and his son seemed to be matched as some of the Akanuma clan arrived to stop Noburo. They had, however, arrived in time to see Satoshi kill Noburo with one final blow. Noburo's body, burned like none other, dropped dead on that day.
On that day, Satoshi fled from Kirigakure once he had seen the looks of fear and shame on his clan's faces. He had cracked on that day and quite possibly began to go insane on that day forward.
The New Akatsuki
Satoshi stayed hidden for four years, learning new jutsus and honing his skills. He watched from the sideline as the world ate itself. He, however, had an idea, as he watched countless people fall to Kurai's prisons and to death's cold hand over time. He had heard of a defunct organization by the name of Akatsuki, one that had fallen out of the limelight when it was abandoned. Finding what he could of the rings, he began to plot for the future. He had gotten all but two rings, one which was held by Uchiha Madara, and the other by someone that had betrayed Madara. Satoshi knew he would need strong allies for this organization, and so he searched.
During his search, he ran into Tsukiyami Rena. Her usage of Sound Release would prove useful to Akatsuki, but Rena herself began to make an impact on Satoshi. In short time since she joined Akatsuki, the two fell for each other and united as lovers. Together, they searched for more like them until they had the numbers.
It was shortly after all this that Akatsuki gained control of Kumogakure, Amegakure, and Sunagakure as well the lands they inhabited. Satoshi placed three puppets within the seat of power and receeded into the shadows as he let things take their place.
Now he plans for the end of Kurai and Hozuki with devastating strikes to their bases. All during this time, he stays on constant alert and makes sure his skills are fresh in his mind. Though he is haunted by nightmares, he has come to enhance his combat prowess to the point where no other could challenge him without facing problems after the fight was over.

Dark skies blanketed most of Kaminari no Kuni, where Akatsuki controlled the village of Kumogakure no Sato. The dark skies rumbled with thunder and began to pour down rain in the start of a storm. Many got inside across the lands, including those in Kumogakure. This storm was fierce and lashed out in multiple directions, and yet there was still a presence in this storm. In Kumogakure, a cloaked man sat on the roof of the Raikage's building. The man was masked by a black mask that had ornate carvings on it in a shade of blue. Through the eye holes, blood red orbs stared out at the village.
The cloak was made of fine silk, black as night with red outlines and clouds wrapped around the bulk of the cloak. On the back of the hood rested a hawk, also colored red as blood. The man wore black gloves with this outfit and other typical shinobi gear. This man, however, was not like the others. This man was feared, respected, and even loved despite the trouble he brings. This man is none other then Akanuma Satoshi, leader of Akatsuki. He is a fierce opponent and a powerful ally. He is also a gentle lover, deep down, and hides this quite well with a thirst for bloodshed.
Satoshi stood up, adjusting himself in his cloak, and quickly found himself inside the Raikage building. Striding through the halls, his eyes stayed forward as many Kumogakure shinobi got out of his way, bowing their heads to him. He had, more or less, made an identity for himself among Kumogakure. He was feared but also respected and this is how he liked it. He loved the thrill that came from being stronger then others. He desired the feelings of superiority over others. He had gotten that in doves, and enjoyed the thrill of it.
With no need to knock, he strode into the Raikage office and shut the door behind him. He took his time to reach the desk as the Raikage quickly reacted, going to stand up. However, Satoshi motioned for him to sit down as he began to undo his cloak. As the cloak, mask, and gloves were removed, Satoshi's full image came into play. Satoshi was a tall, muscular man with white hair and blood red eyes. All this made his image alone a fierce one. However, it was his voice and his skills which did the rest. He stopped before the desk, staring into the fear-filled eyes of the Raikage. This Raikage was weak, filled with fear, and the eyes danced with guilt.
"I have seen your sins, Raikage. It is time that judgement makes its call. You have no need to worry, a swift death will come and a better placement will come to take your seat. One who does not betray my trust."
Only moments later did Satoshi walk out, after a bloodcurdling scream shot out across the skies. He made his way out of the building and to a nearby home he had acquired during his time before taking up the position of leader of Akatsuki. It was where he and Rena often rested when checking on Kumogakure. Satoshi stopped as soon as he shut the door. His mind soon wandered from thought to thought until it got on Rena.
Rena was his lover and the woman who kept the humanity of Satoshi still breathing. Though they were criminals, they found love. She was loyal to him, dedicated to the core of who Satoshi was and he appreciated this. He did not show his affections before the other Akatsuki, but they knew that he would kill anyone who harmed Rena. As he slipped into more casual clothing, he laid down on the couch after turning all the lights off and thought back to the moment they confessed their feelings.
Satoshi was living a good life.
